Volunteering provides opportunity for all people to benefit their community
Our strong links with local groups, national and regional charities, support agencies and statutory bodies, enable us to promote and develop opportunities and we are ideally placed for helping match people to these opportunities. With the support of Volunteering England, our national membership body, we aim to offer and sustain an increase in the quality, quantity, impact and accessibility of volunteering in the local community. We continuously aim to involve, across the Horsham District, more people from all backgrounds and circumstances, in rewarding volunteer activities.
The Volunteer Centre is able to provide a range of volunteering opportunities and support to get you started. We have drop-in sessions every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9.30am to 2.30pm at The Octagon, Chart Way, Horsham. We are also able to offer confidential appointments outside of these hours by prior arrangement. You can find out more about, the Horsham Area Council for Voluntary Service, of which we are a part, at our website. Please note the Volunteer Centre has a new telephone number – 01403 273985.
